Te Komititanga is Aucklands latest civic square to be
completed by John Fillmore Contracting. Designsource worked with Jasmax
to source appropriate granite pavers with different textures to make up the
magnificent Whariki welcome mat.
The mat was designed by Tessa Harrison and her weaving team
representing Mana Whenua. The mat is flanked by a stone design depicting
the waters of the Waitemata meeting the Wai Horotiu stream.
